In recent years, medicine has changed dramatically through the influence of technology and corporations. What should have been powerful tools for advancement to increase efficiency and accuracy, has been used to cut corners and reduce competency, trust, and the general appreciation for patients as human beings.
Neuropsychological care, cognitive assessment, and follow-up care have become simplified...for everyone except the doctors and patients. Diagnostics has become a cookie-cutter checklist system instead of personal and individualized case conceptualization. In the wake of these changes, Dr. Velissaris noticed the reduced trust in medical care and became frustrated with the extreme increase in referrals for misdiagnosis. Endless complaints of patient's being treated like dollar signs waiting in a lobby became his motivation to create Oracle Neuropsychology Group with providers who share a common vision focused on the most important part of medicine...you, the patient.

Additional sessions are provided to help transition patients with a direct, hands-on approach and a positive outlook with specific recommendations to thrive post-evaluation.
- Why the name Oracle? -
In ancient times, oracles were seen as wise tools who would guide struggling heroes along their journey. This was often done through interpreting thoughts or feelings that directed the hero to fully understand their situation, abilities, and limitations - allowing them to confidently move forward with a clear understanding of their path ahead.
As we commonly see in today's world, with a greater (but still extremely limited) understanding of the human brain, neuropsychologists serve a similar purpose. When patient's require clarity and greater understanding - whether that be a struggle with attention in school, trouble learning within modern systems, difficulty at work, or the fears of coping with aging and memory loss, the neuropsychologists at Oracle promise to provide that understanding and guidance for each of our modern heroes and your loved ones along their journey.
